Emma Hubner

Emma Hubner has a passion for creating art. She received her bachelor's in Painting and Art Education at St. Ambrose University. At Ambrose, she minored in creative writing and art history, both of which continue influenced her work today. After college, she worked as an elementary art teacher and in her free time started learning how to create digital art in addition to traditional art. She has been a desired art educator with Bereskin Art Academy and at the Figge Art Museum.

Using both traditional and digital media she admits, “Because it challenges me to explore new ways to create.” Traditional art is either on canvas or paper and she often combine a variety of media: ink, acrylic paints, alcohol markers, and gel pens. When making digital art she uses Photoshop or Procreate. Emma enjoys working with bright and pastel color palettes and nature themes.

Art is first and foremost at the center of Hubner’s life, “It allows my inner nerd to bloom and to explore my interests as a bookworm and gamer. Getting to travel and experience culture is also a great inspiration to me, and I love to interpret the magic this world has to offer through my art.”
