About Lisa A. Burke-Martin
-
An Eastern Iowa native, Lisa lives with her family in rural DeWitt, Iowa.
-
Lisa is a graduate of St. Ambrose University where she earned an MBA and Bachelor’s degree in business.
-
Prior to joining the Nikulski team, Lisa gained experience in community banking, focusing on Trust, Estate Planning, and Operations areas. She liked helping clients achieve their financial goals and assisting them in leaving a legacy.
-
An alumni of FFA and 4H, Lisa volunteers in her community as a youth 4H leader and Project Committee member focused on the Horse and Pony program in Clinton County. Watching the youth grow and learn with and through their projects is so rewarding!
-
Outside of work, Lisa partners with her husband, Loras, and son, Will in their farm operation raising hay, corn, and soybeans. A little diversification is added in as they raise Paint and Quarter horses, cattle, and Corgi dogs.
-
In her spare time, she likes to exhibit her horses in local and national shows, spend time with family, travel, and play an occasional round of golf.
Life Lessons
Through the eyes of a horse. Every horse I’ve had has taught me something: patience, consistency, discipline, direction, forgiveness, failure, and success.
Credits to my teachers: Gracie, Smooth, & Elsie.

Our Pembroke Corgi dog, Piper and my Paint Horse, Elsie – favorite partner since 2017.
Best Vacation Spot
The Black Hills of South Dakota.
So much natural beauty to explore from rolling hills and towering pines to rugged granite peaks. It offers a perfect mix of history, adventure, and relaxation!
Musical Influences
Country Music
I’m a fan of the legend George Strait. “Amarillo by Morning” is one of my favorites – as he sings about life, hardship, and having a dream.
Traveling
I like to take the backroads to see the country and learn about the people, history and see the sites along the way!
