What is the investment philosophy at Nikulski Financial?
Our investment philosophy stems from our belief that markets are by and large efficient. When new information comes out, markets very quickly adjust and integrate that information into prices.
Successful “day trading” in our belief, is not the best way to successful investment management.
However, we also believe that a portfolio should contain more than just passive or index-like investments. We believe the best approach for our client's portfolios is within a core-satellite investment structure primarily using exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and when appropriate, individual stocks & bonds. The majority of our client's assets are within one of three "core" risk-based portfolios: Moderately Conservative, Moderate, and Moderately Aggressive. The remainder of a client's portfolio is then invested among "satellite" holdings, where we look to assume a tactical strategy to take advantage of opportunities within the market.
We want the core of a client’s portfolio to get exposure to the market, in a cost-efficient manner, yet we also want to take advantage of opportunities beyond the core (satellite) when they present themselves.
